Applied Scholastics
Applied Scholastics International is a non-profit educational organization formed
in 1972 to provide educational services and materials that enable individuals to
become more effective learners and enable teachers to more effectively help students
become better learners. The overall aim is that students are empowered to better
achieve their goals and realize their full potentials, both as individuals and as
members of society.
These services and materials are based on the broad range of educational technology
developed by L. Ron Hubbard (known as Study Technology
or simply Study Tech).
Delphi Academy of Chicago is one of many schools around the world licensed to use
Applied Scholastics™ education services.
Study Technology Training
In addition to offering training courses in Study Tech for teachers, educators,
parents and college students at their campus in St. Louis, Missouri, Applied Scholastics
International publishes a series of books designed to present Study Technology and
other educational material developed by L. Ron Hubbard in a form that is readily
usable by students of all ages.
Students who know and use Study Tech become more competent and independent as students,
developing a solid ability to understand and apply what they have studied. This
is, of course, valuable within any school program, but the greatest benefit is that
these students will retain this ability throughout their entire lives.
Applied Scholastics in the World
On a broader basis, Applied Scholastics programs enable individuals to have a positive
impact on the literacy and education level of both children and adults in their
communities. At this time, there are over 700 schools, tutors and community education
centers in 60 countries utilizing Applied Scholastics educational services.
